Verona High School held a ceremony on Thursday May 29 to induct 31 students into three national language honor societies. The students, all sophomores and juniors, have to have completed at least two years of their chosen language at the high school level, maintained an A- average in the language and have committed to a third year of study.
The Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools welcomed Patrick Citrano, Diana Flores, Matthew Gasin, William Gault, Maxwell Hunsinger, Noelle Maladorno, Alonna Nesto, Rayna Newkirk, Nicholas Verschleiser and Austin Yee.
The Societe Honoraire de Francais inducted Danielle Alfano, Gabriella Gabriel, Anthony Giuliano, Michael Petrozzino, Abigail Pope, Annaliese Tietjen and Rachel Vail.
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica honored Amanda Benfante, Caroline Chivily, John DeMartinis, Sean Frazee, Sasan Hakimzadeh, Gabrielle Horton, Morgan Janes, Michael Knothe, Dominique Marino, Emily McPhail, Sebastian Mejia, Carina Mitchell, George Tamburino and Miranda Williams.
