On Thursday, September 30, Verona Public Schools will host a speaker from.Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care for a program on supporting children after the pandemic.
Dr. Kelly Moore is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 17 years of experience as a practitioner, trainer, and consultant focusing on treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and postpartum-related challenges in youth and adults. The program will take place in the auditorium at Verona High School from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The pandemic has impacted us all, but as we return to normalcy our children need more support than ever. Supporting our children in all life domains, home, school and in the community is a pivotal point for their social and emotional well-being.
- Do you have a child or are you yourself struggling with anxiety or trauma?
- Do you wish you knew more about how the pandemic, social unrest, and divisions in the country have affected our youth, parents, and communities?
- Would you like some concrete strategies for helping kids cope (and also parent/teacher coping strategies!)
Come learn about resources and what to do when there is a need for additional support.
