For decades, the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township has hosted a holiday competition called Gingerbread Wonderland. Among the creations this year are two displays made by students at F.N. Brown elementary school.
The creators come from every grade at F.N.Brown from kindergarten to fourth grade and they were extremely resourceful. The candy used in both “Gingercorns Under a Skittles Rainbow” (above) and “Run As Fast As You Can” (below) was mostly left over from Halloween and donated by teachers for the project.
The confections in Gingerbread Wonderland will be on display only until this Sunday, December 15. The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is located at 353 East Hanover Avenue in Morris Township, and it is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday to Thursday; from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the weekend. Admission is $2.
