Please join Verona’s director of special services, Frank Mauriello, and the district’s special education parent advisory council, Verona C.H.I.L.D., for a public meeting on Thursday, November 14, at the Verona High School Learning Commons. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. and you can RSVP here.
Verona C.H.I.L.D. (Children Having Individual Learning Differences) is a non-profit organization made up of parents and caregivers dedicated to providing support to children who face learning challenges and who receive special education services from the Verona Public Schools. Our goal is to provide a solution-oriented forum for families, educators and administrators to effectively communicate and collaborate together to better understand and help bridge the gap between special education and general education.
Meeting attendees can learn more about Verona C.H.I.L.D., discuss up coming fundraisers and initiatives, and have an opportunity to discuss current programs and initiatives with the director of special services. Please note that individual concerns in regards to students will be directed to set up a meeting at another time with the director.
